I'd sold my first deals, raised my first money, and was on track to buying my first property, all off the back of content. So I left my job and went all in on property, certain I knew exactly what came next. I didn't.
Four months later, I was earning nothing. I'd maxed out my credit cards, owed money to people and was sitting on £15,000 of debt. Time was ticking, so I had to figure out how to make money, fast. The bet I'd made on myself had become a countdown.
I wasn't crawling back to a 9-to-5. So I went back to the one skill that got me there in the first place: content. It's how I raised over £300,000, sold every property deal I'd sourced, and built relationships that created opportunities.
The more I looked at it, the clearer it became. The biggest opportunities I'd created hadn't come from property. They'd come from visibility.
Deal sourcing didn't fit how I wanted to build. So I made the call: stop chasing property deals, start building an agency. First retainer in April, second in May. Within six months we'd gone from zero to five figures a month, helping property entrepreneurs build personal brands that actually meant something.
